With special thanks to Crypton Future Media,
we will create and perform a Hatsune Miku
live Concert in Scotland, UK.
This is a non-profit community project to
create a 3D hologram effect concert,
currently, we
need:
- More 3D Artists and Animators!
- More Audio Staff
- Choreographers/Dancers
If you are interested in helping out,
contact us via our
facebook,
forum
or
twitter,
and post samples of your work. Even if you
do not fit into the above categories, you
are still welcome to help on the project by
posting your thoughts for us to take into
consideration.
You don't have to be based in the UK, either!
What is Miku UK?
Miku UK is a collaborative effort that will result in a live (and free!) 3D hologram effect concert featuring virtual singer Hatsune Miku as the star, as well as appearances from other characters featured in Crypton's character series software.
With a dedicated team and hard work, over the course of a year we intend to produce a fun and enjoyable experience for fans and non-fans alike. The concert will consist of virtual singers, accompanied by a live-band. The concert will be held at a University in Scotland which will be revealed nearer the time.
Who is Hatsune Miku?
Hatsune Miku is singing software, running on the Vocaloid 2 singing engine.
More importantly, Hatsune Miku is an internet phenomenon, character and performer, with millions of adoring fans all around the world - already having sold out commercially run concerts in Japan, Singapore, and Los Angeles.
(Vocaloid is a registered trademark of Yamaha Corporation)
How is the hologram effect achieved?
The hologram effect is achieved by projecting 3D animations onto a special type of projection film which only shows light that hits it from direct angles, any black areas of the image remain transparent. In a concert hall, with the correct lighting, a convincing hologram stage-effect is achieved.
