J-POP SUMMIT FESTIVAL 2011
It’s that time again when fans of Japanese music head to San Francisco for the J-POP SUMMIT FESTIVAL. Most Vocaloid fans will remember that last year at the Summit Festival was Hatsune Miku’s debut in America with the movie screening of the “Hatsune Miku 39′s Day Giving” concert, and this year the summit festival has decided to make Vocaloids another main attraction.
WHAT IS J-POP SUMMIT FESTIVAL?
The J-POP SUMMIT FESTIVAL is a street fair with pop culture as it’s theme that is held in Japantown, San Francisco. This year’s festival is going to be hosted by NEW PEOPLE in cooperation with the Japantown Merchants Association.

VOCALOID RELATED GUESTS
This year, two of the five women of the Danceroid team will be guests of honor. Ikura and Kozue are the two of the most popular Danceroid members, and will be hosting a Vocaloid dance workshop, judging a Vocaloid dance contest, and will attend the Vocaloid conference. Danceroid is best known for dancing and lip syncing to famous vocaloid songs such as “Megu Megu☆Fire Endless Night.” For more information on Danceroid please visit their official site.
ZANEEDS
ZANEEDS is a five member creative team consisting of music by ZANIO(Paipan-P), illustration by CHAN*CO, design by PPRP, movie by Ippai Attenya, and direction by Torinos. The team’s main goal is to be able to make Vocaloid a major form of electronic arts, but also be able to share the music genres acid jazz, deep house, and electronica with as many people as possible.
